Aata Odanaata has engaged beneficiaries in the following sports:
Softball
Netball
Table Tennis
Cricket
Football
Track and field
Our young trainees have competed at university, zonal and national level events.
Seven boys have played softball at the national level and two girls have represented Karnataka in national football events.
We have had five of our softball trainees compete at the university level and six players have represented south zone at zonal softball and football events. Four girls from the football camp have played for SAI, one was selected for an International Camp.
Five boys were able to enroll under the sports quota in various colleges to pursue further education.
Aata Odanaata, through contributions of several individual sponsors, has provided Table Tennis equipment to Ananya Trust, Desire Society and Gerizim Home, Netball and various sports equipment to Government Fort High School, Satsang Foundation, Ashalaya, Ananya Trust and Gerizim Home, tennis, football, cricket and softball gear to several young boys and girls.
As a partner with Kilikili, we have supported inclusive play for children who are differently abled and organizing games for kids with special needs at inclusive play centers.
In 2010, Aata Odanaata received the Real Heroes Award in the Sports category. The award instituted by CNN-IBN together with Reliance Industries, recognizes social contributions by ordinary citizens.
In 2016, Surabhi Foundation felicitated Aata Odanaata for facilitating softball training camps for their young beneficiaries. Two boys from Surabhi Foundation were selected to play for the Karnataka state (juniors) team.
We completed 10 years in 2018! It has been an amazing journey of learning, unlearning and relearning.
